ROB FRAZIER - THIS TOWN

01 It's The Heart That Matters
Words and music: Rob Frazier and Carol Buckley Frazier

Open your eyes, somebody's crying
Someone you know - their hope is dying
You want to help but you don't know what to say
Maybe you wonder, can you make a difference anyway

But it's the heart that matters
Always let it show
Someone's torn and tattered
Open up your soul
When love is the way
And you are the one

Cause when life is shattered
God can pick it up
And put it back together
His love is enough
But you gotta believe
It's the heart that matters

Open your arms, somebody's reaching
They need your hand not just your preaching
So take 'em to heart, let them get close to you
They've got to see the love of the Father coming through

When nothing is clear
From looking at life through a layer of tears
Tell me, tell me
Will you be there?
02 Hide And Seek
Words and music: Rob Frazier, Wayland Patton and Steve Camp

You found out you're not just playing a game
You found out there are some spiritual dangers
Now you're in trouble
But you don't know where to begin

There's a way and to you it seems all right
Comes a day you've got to turn and face the light
You wanna change
But you're holding on to your sin!

Playing hide and seek
When you run from the Lord you go down in defeat
Playing hide and seek
Come back to Jesus, it's where you ought to be

It's your move, you must consider your soul
Time to loose this empty baggage that you hold
I hate to see you
Wasting your life away

God's aware of every doubt in your heart
Still He cares enough not to tear your faith apart
Don't run for cover
The debt you owe is already paid

There's no reason to run away
God's love, it can save your soul
His grace, it can make you whole!

You found out you're not just playing a game
You found out there are some spiritual dangers
But don't run for cover
The debt you owe is already paid!
03 Break My Heart
Words and music: Rob Frazier and Steve Camp

I have prayed for deliverance
From the trouble in my life
I've asked the Lord to bless me
And keep my pathway bright

But the greatest prayer
That I could ever pray
Is for holiness
Oh, it's not the easy way to say

Break my heart
Till it longs for none but Thee
Till Your Spirit flows through me
Break my heart
Let Your will be done, not mine
Rid my soul of compromise
Say "I love you!" once again
And break my heart

Through Your gentle chastening
I know that I am loved
For everything that comes to me
First comes through You above

Oh, the testing of my faith
Is like precious gold
For through the fire
You refine my soul, so, Lord
04 This Town
Words and music: Rob Frazier, Carol Buckley Frazier and Steve Camp

This old town may not mean that much to you
But it's where I live, it's all I've got
Lately change has been coming, but what's it coming to?
Where there used to be a church now it's a parking lot

We got our houses and our swimming pools
Everybody's lives are so discreet
But keeping up appearances is our only rule
And we've lost the power we once found on our knees

Doesn't anybody pray in this town anymore?
Doesn't anybody want to stand up for the Lord?
While we shake our heads wondering what we're gonna do
God says "I need one righteous man"
Is it gonna be you?

Look outside your back door, tell me what you see
People are starving in your streets
And human life just ain't worth what it used to be
From the nursing home to the nursery

Families are hurting in our neighbourhoods
Loyalty and love are out of vogue
And God is just forgotten or at best misunderstood
But He remains the One Who's in control

He will lead us to holier ways
To a foundation on which we can stand
For if we're humbled as people and pray
God will heal this land
05 It's Alright To Cry
Words and music: Rob Frazier

He was parked outside of the bar and grill
Inside his wife was sitting there drinkin' her fill
They got three kids sitting at the house alone
While the daddy's out trying to save his house and home

Feeling abused, says he's getting used
To life dealing him a dirty hand
Maybe what he needs is not someone to preach
But someone who can understand

It's all right to cry
It's all right
It's all right to cry sometimes
When crying's all you can do

She was sitting with her friend in the waiting room
Down at the clinic where that awful work is done
Well, the boyfriend left, he had nothing to say
Now the friend is saying she sees no other way

Trying desperately to make her see
There's a way to face what's in store
But it breaks her heart - she falls apart
Watching her walk through the doctor's door

Cause life's a desperate affair
And in our haste to show we care
We forget how to be real
How to bleed and how to feel
We don't have all the answers
We just know Somebody who does!

I was having my dinner with the TV on
When up came the pictures of the starving Africans
Children dying - what a pitiful sight
And suddenly you know I lost my appetite

Tears came to my eyes, I realized
Something had touched me to my soul
But the feeling changed, it went away
I changed it by remote control

It's all right to cry
It's all right
It's all right to cry sometimes
But that ain't all you can do
06 Get Into Motion
Words and music: Rob Frazier and Carol Buckley Frazier

Well, to every man's a season
A time to heed the call
If he's even listening at all
Now do you ever stop and wonder
Or try to figure out
Just what your life is all about

Time is slipping through your hands
You gotta live every moment while you still can

You say that things stay the same
I say that there can be change
But you're moving way too slow
Get into motion!
There's so much work to be done
Don't give up before you've begun
Hear the Word and follow
Get into motion!

Pain has robbed you of your power
And left you feeling cold
Feel the chill right down to your soul
But you can turn to Someone greater
Who's living inside of you
And you know He's got the strength you could use

God will set your heart on fire
The desire to trust Him is all He requires
07 Army Of Love
Words and music: Rob Frazier and Steve Camp

Brothers, stand up and fight for your King
You're serving His Majesty
Called to defend the throne

Warriors, your weapons are not made of steel
For the sword that you wield
Is loving God's truth in love

Seek not to destroy but conquer with joy
The hearts that do not know Him

You're an army, army
Army of love
You're an army, army
Army of love

Christians, we war not against flesh and blood
So do not condemn this world
But reach out to save someone

With unity, come on, we are one in the Lord
So be not divided anymore
For together we're strong

It's time that we stand and march hand in hand
Claiming the victory!

One mind, one heart, one Lord
One faith, one way, one God over us all

It's time that we stand and march hand in hand
Claiming the victory!
For together we're strong and we'll carry on
Until His face we shall see
08 Starting Over
Words and music: Rob Frazier

All my life I've been starting over
Learning my lesson once more
Just like before
I am a child foolish and wild

Take a step and I'm nearly walking
But I trip and I fall
My faith is much too small
I run to You

Can You tell me please why it seems
No matter what I do I'm always

Starting over again
When it seems like the past is my only friend
Starting over again
When will it ever end?

Everyday I need Your forgiveness
And if I could not depend on that
I'd just give in
I do belong

My heart is Yours, my soul secure
I want to grow up strong, not always

Where do I begin?

Cause I know it's true that
Only You can set my soul on fire
And lead me on to higher ground
Give me the strength to carry on
I need Your grace to keep on!

I will begin
Starting over again
09 Hey Frankie
Words and music: Rob Frazier

I remember when I met you
Wild hair, black shades and lots of leather too
Lookin' for all the world
Like a new sensation

Running round we tore up the old school
Had our fun gettin' around the rules
And laughing our way
Out of every situation

But now you know we're all gettin' older
Somehow this world seems a little colder
And you were never good
At keepin' that guilt inside

Well, I know how you feel, I know you see
That who we are ain't always who we want to be
And that's something you can cover up
But you can never hide

Hey Frankie, take a look at me
I'm just the same as you, you see it's not
Where you come from
It's Who you got
Hey Frankie, take a look at you
You need a little help to see you through
And I know Someone
Who can do it for you

You can trust me when I'm talkin'
Cause tho these roads that we been walkin'
Have taken us apart
Frankie, I still love you

Jesus is the way and He is the truth
And He can save us from the things we do
And Frankie, that's an offer
You should never refuse

It's no mystery, without Him we're history
You don't argue who's to blame
You just don't wanna stay the same
Frankie, things are going to be alright
There's a way to get over
There's a way to make day from night
10 Where Love Begins
Words and music: Rob Frazier and Steve Camp

Oh, you're taking it hard
Cause you lost your boy
Well, you wake up to the fact
You were nothing but his little toy
And you don't understand
How he could use a friend
Now your mind's made up
You're never gonna fall in love again

You're in a bad situation
And it cuts like a knife

Oh, you're looking for a love that never ends
But I know the place where love begins
It's there in the touch of nail-scarred hands

So to ease your mind
Your dropped in to a movie show
To clear up a few questions about love
From some people who you thought would know
But you walked away
So much left unsaid
They left you with the impression
Love was something that you find in bed

Now you're so confused you don't know what to do
You wish someboyd would tell you straight

You've been to church and Sunday School
Their words went right over you
They'd never been to where you are
But you can turn your life around
The Love you seek, it can be found
Open the eyes of your heart
