This rare demo cassette was recorded around 1982. Ascension wanted to record a demo tape, but they didn't have a singer. They recorded the music and asked John to come over and sing on their tape. They didn't have any melody, so basically John wrote the melodies during the recording session.
This demo tape was sent around to many people and in the end someone who'd heard this demo tape, brought up John's name to Bob Hartman when Petra were looking for a new singer.
