In the USA the Revival DVD was $6.99 or free with the purchase of the Revival CD. The DVD was a USA only release.
For the Revival DVD a program of 46 minutes was made, but a few weeks before release Inpop decided to cut it back to only 33 minutes.
Just before the recording of the album Petra's live-band consisted of John Schlitt on lead vocals, Louie Weaver on drums, Kevin Brandow on guitars, Bryce Bell on keyboards and Mike Brandenstein on bass guitar. Only Schlitt and Weaver were part of this recording.
After the recording of the album, in the spring of 2002, Kevin Brandow and Mike Brandenstein left the band. Replacements were found in the persons of Greg Bailey on bass and Quinton Gibson on lead guitars.
On 07-September-2002 Petra played the Night Of Joy in Disneyworld, Lake Buenavista, FL. Bob Hartman joined the band on-stage for the first time since he left the touring band after the recording of No Doubt. Earlier that year Bob had joined the band in the studio of todayschristianmusic.com, Nashville, TN, for an acoustic radio-broadcast.
In the spring of 2003 Louie Weaver was fired from the band and Bob Hartman decided to join the touring Petra again. Quinton Gibson left to join Strange Celebrity. A temporary replacement for Weaver was found in the person of Justin Johnson.
On the advance prerelease track 09 is titled "Satisfy"; on the regular release track 09 is titled "You Satisfy"
On the regular release the tracklisting is mixed up. Track 04 ("Amazing Grace" according to the artwork) and track 05 ("The Prodigal's Song" according to the artwork) are switched. The advance prerelease has the correct tracklisting on the artwork.
Because the album version of "Send Revival, Start With Me" was too long for radio, a radio edit was made of more than 1 minute less time. It was released on a promotional CD only available to radio stations.
Soul 2 Soul Radio did an interview with John Schlitt and Bob Hartman to celebrate the release of Revival. The one-hour radio special was sent to radio stations to be aired in the weekend of November 23-24, 2001. Early 2002 Inpop included the radio special on the promotional release of the songs "Oasis", "The Noise We Make" and "How Long".
The songs "Send Revival, Start With Me", "The Noise We Make", "Oasis", "Amazing Grace", "Meet With Me" and "How Long" are known to have been performed live.
